Abstract

A thorough understanding of the physical and flow properties of the solid foods are necessalY for design, optimization, operation and control of food processing plants and to prevent microbial growth. The present paper discusses the various aspects of propert'ies of solid food materials and flow properties to be considered for proper storage systems and pneumatic handling equipments design for dlY bulk materials to prevent contamination of food products.
