Additional Information: | The study of Isolation and characterized of Cellulose degrading Bacteria from forest soil is focused on the cellulose degradation capacity of the bacterial strain. For this 4 different soil samples were collected from Rhizoplane,Rhizosphere,Damp region, Kukkarahalli lake, Mysore. A total of 32 bacterial strains were isolated from the 4 different soil samples. Bacterial strains were tested for various biochemical test, carbon source utilizing test and pH profiling was done to find out the steady growth of the bacterial strain. To study the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose to quantitative test were done to find out the cellulose degrading bacterial strain. Out of 32 strains 6 were subjected to 21 days of incubation at 30oC. Two strains i.e. L6N1 and RS6L1 show the colour change that indicates the cellulose degrading strain. The pH and temperature profile of cellulose degradation shows optimum pH and temperature for L6N1 is 7.0 and 30oC where as RS6L1 is 5.0 and 20oc respectively. Further analysis has to done on molecular level for the application and sequencing of the bacterial strain and to find out the species classification of the selected strain. By this result we can use the bacterial strain in degradation on cellulose in various factors like fertile, biofuel production, recycling of paper waste and used as bioenergy sources. |
