Additional Information: | A machine to be successfully equipped, we need a detail study of the aspect such as the moving parts of the machine, what are the constraints that arise during development of the machine must also be considered. Moulding is the process of binding particles together with pressure. In the present project work, design and fabrication of a Nylon Die Set for spherical moulding is under taken. The moulded food materials obtained by using this die set are of uniform dimension and geometry, and are obtained in a continuous manner. The food material used in the process is boondi globules made out of Bengal gram flour, and boondi globules is used to make laddu by adding sugar syrup. It is essential that engineering materials used in the design of food processing machine need to have characteristics like: resistance to temperature, high pressure and resistance to wear, and to resist its self weight and other constraints. Considering the above requirements and properties the material is selected. Care has to be taken about the constraints to maintain the quality of the product. |
