This report presents a framework of interfacing MATLAB with a traditional cuisine database in order to improve the scientific procedure on data analysis in a traditional knowledge digital library. The report comprises of various functions which are used to import and export data from MATLAB and to determine whether a file contains Microsoft excel worksheet or not. It even presents a brief idea of the concept of clustering. The report explains the term Database Toolbox and describes its features. It even gives a brief idea of various kinds of databases that are supported by the Database toolbox. The report even consists of various codes (executed in MATLAB) which are used to access traditional cuisine data to draw different kind of conclusions.
