For the developing countries like India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Indonesia, etc., tea is a major plantation crop that earns foreign currency by way of exports. The highly unorganized marketing has resulted in the fluctuations in price of tea. The living standards of the tea growers and processors can be improved by diversification into value added products. The low-grade black / green / oolong teas can be scented to produce flavoured tea.</p> |
