Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: The aim of the present study was to gain an insight into the phylogenetic relationships, the conserved sequence domains and the three dimensional aspects of ovine α-1-PI and analyse it with respect to the function. Heparin and trypsin appear to bind α-1-PI in a non-competitive manner Heparin binding has been shown to cause a conformational change that results in activation of antithrombin as an inhibitor. The study projects to look into whether heparin binding to α-1-PI by molecular docking activates α-1-PI and causes changes if any in its structure..
