Abstract
Natural waxes derived from sugarcane, tea, rice bran, jasmine and seedlac were examined as raw material for the preparation of n-triacontanol (technical) and thence plantgrowth promoter formulation containing it. Also a method for the preparation of Zn-EDTA and its employment in such a formulation is standardised. A gas chromatographic procedure was developed for the assay of n-triacontanol which was usually incorporated at 1-10 ppm level in these formulations.
