Abstract
<p align="justify">In a food chain establishment, quality assurance and control is primarily controlled by the consumers. To meet the growing demands of consumers for a safe and healthy food, the criteria of quality is measured by various qualitative and quantitative standards. The major concepts of Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices (GMDP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points and Quality systems in terms of ISO standards are discussed.</p>
