Abstract

Quality evaluations were carried out in 5 sountries on raw and roasted coffee beans and liquor of 3 varieties (Kents, S. 288 and S. 795) from 6 estates during 5 seasons. Statistical analysis of evaluations according to an approved score card showed that quality was greatly affected by season. Response of varieties to season differed. Kents coffee was superior to S. 288 and Estate bulk but not S. 795. Differences between various estates were attributed to soil, climatic conditions and cultivation methods.
