Abstract
Mycelial protoplasts were prepared using Novozym 234 and a linear relationship was observed between yield and mycelial concn up to 2 mg/ml dry mass. The optima for concn of the enzyme, culture age and contact time of the enzyme with mycelial cells were 2 g/litre, 25 h and 10 h, respectively. The frequency of reversion of the individual protoplasts was c. 80%.
