Abstract
Fumigating rice straw with methyl bromide at 64mg/l for 48 h inhibited the growth of S. rolfsii for 12 days during the cultivation of P. flabellatus. The fumigation had no adverse effect on the growth and yield pattern of the mushroom. Residual organic bromide in the fresh mushrooms raised from the fumigated straw was far less than the permitted tolerance limit for raw agricultural products.
