Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: This project work deals with the bio-chemical assays of proteins, cholesterol and triglycerides from mice plasma. The write-up deals with an introduction to these compounds, their significance in the body, optimum levels and the merits and demerits associated with them. There are various factors on which these compounds vary in the body like heredity, age, sex, obesity, physical activity etc, as middle age sets in a lipid profile test must be carried out to determine the range of these compounds. Results are compared to the optimum range and necessary precautionary measures must be taken. Since these compounds form an integral part of our body, it is necessary to monitor their levels; either excess or deficiency can have adverse effects on the body. Thus, this project focuses on the estimation of the levels of these macromolecules and comparison with the optimum range.
