Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: The project is focused mainly on the analysis of bacterial strains from the rhizospheric region. The strains were collected from Departmental cultural collection, Food microbiology, CFTRI, Mysore .All the cultures were tested for biochemical tests including carbon source utilization, catalase, urease, simmon’s citrates, Starch degradation and physiological parameter(i.e) pH profiling. The optimal growth was observed in sucrose, maltose and lactose and comparably less in cellulose. No degradation of cellulose was observed after 21 days by any of 3 strains pH profiling was done to find out the optimum growth condition of bacterial strains. All the strains can be further characterized at molecular level by 16s rRNA sequencing. 42
