Additional Information: The synthetic polymer of polyethylene accumulation was the major problem in our daily life. These plastics not only take many decades to be decomposed in nature, but also produce toxins during the process of degradation. Biodegradable plastics (bioplastics) represented a solution to environmental problems generated by utilization of plastics from in the petrochemical sources, which have many undesirable properties such as durability and resistance to biodegradation. Polyhydroxyalkanoates are biopolymers and have the property similar to petrochemical sources. PHA is biodegradable, nontoxic, biocompatible, environment friendly and it degraded easily by microorganisms. PHB is the most known PHA, PHB is accumulated by large number of bacteria under the conditions of nutrient limitation and in the presence of an abundant source of carbon. Some of the PHA producing microorganism synthesize the exopolysaccharacrides in the fermented medium. The exopolysaccharacride used as modifying the rheological properties of aqueous system, used to producing gels, used in food, pharmaceutical and oil industries. The Rhizobium meliloti produced more PHA (57%) than others and fast growing rhizobia produced high molecular exopolysaccharide.
