Abstract
Bioactive compounds present in herbs and spices have always been of keen interest to researchers as they uplift the nutritional value of human diet. Numerous studies have been reported on the essential oil fraction from Indian spices however not much interest has been shown on utilizing the spent spice matter left behind after distillation. Therefore, the present study makes an effort to utilize the distilled spice matter and extract fixed oils from it.
