Abstract

The paper deals with the preparation of activated days from four samples of kaolinic clays and activated carbons from vegetable raw materials PR., saw dust, groundnut husk, cottonseed hulls and paddy husk etc. From the results it is observed that the paddy husk carbon and acid activated Bagheshapura clay have given best results. They also compare very favourably with the foreign carbon and foreign earth for bleaching of cottonseed oil.
