Abstract

It has been established by earlier work that roasted coffee can store well under vacuum in airtight containers. Since the tin containers are costly, it was considered desirable to investigate other packing materials in which coffee can be kept without undergoing any significant change for short periods (1O~15 days) in unit packages ranging from 100 g. to 500 g. for retail sale.
