Abstract
The refining and keeping quality of refined and crude cottdnseed oil have been studied. Crude cottonseed oil was observed to he very stable even when stored in metal containers whereas refined cottonseed oil develops rancidity rapidly. Their nutritive values and digestibility has been carried out on the rat. No significant difference betwee~ the growth promoting value of G,Plde refined and hy~oge.nate~ttonseed oil etc. was observed on trials with rat. Fatty substances of cottonseed oil were almost completely assimilated by fats.
