Additional Information: A study was conducted to develop expanded products (without sand contamination) from the small millets viz., foxtail, little, barnyard, kodo and proso millets. The physical properties of the products developed was analyzed. Effect of different operating conditions on the expansion volume of the grains and the colour of parboiled grains to optimize the process was also studied.
