Effect of vol. of food-simulating liquid (FSL, i.e. distilled water, 3% aqueous acetic acid, 50% aqueous alcohol and n-heptane) on results of migration tests was studied. Commercially available plastics films were used, i.e. 4 grades of LDPE, polypropylene, PET, polyamide and ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer. Test conditions are prescribed in Indian Standard 9845-1986, i.e. 40
