Abstract
Trends in food packaging are discussed. Recent developments are described for: metal containers; glass containers; rigid plastics containers; flexible packaging materials (retortable pouches and aseptic packaging materials); waxed paper bound containers; rigid Al foil containers for frozen food; foil laminate pouches for dehydrated vegetables; coated BOPP films; nylon and polyester based films for spice and spice products; ecofriendly packaging; and packing materials for transport.
