Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) is an important source of energy for a wide range of industries including cement manufacturing, food production and metallurgy. As the industries grow in their size, their energy requirements increase and complexity of controlling the energy flow also increases. For secure operation and control of LPG flow it is essential to provide solutions in real time to the operator in industries. For real time control of LPG flow, conventional methods are found to be inadequate. Automatic gas flow controller are emerging, which gives fast, though approximate, but acceptable solutions in real time as they use mostly parallel processing technique for controlling gas flow. Previously, the flow of LPG was controlled manually using manual regulators where there was no limit to the ambient temperature. This project deals with the development of Automatic Temperature Controller for Controlling LPG Flow using a micro controller which provides the solution for controlling the temperature of the oven by regulating the LPG flow in the day-to-day operation. The temperature at which the food cooked must be known and controller is set to that temperature. Then the temperature is controlled by the servomotor and the leverage system by opening and closing of regulator.
