Abstract

This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: This project is aimed at the development of CFD and numerical model for predicting drying behaviour of coffee during the freeze-drying process. A CFD and numerical model was developed for freezing and freeze drying of 3.6% (w/w) coffee solution. The developed model was validated with the experimental measurement of temperature during freezing. Freeze-Drying model was developed using a moving sublimation front approach and the model predicts the primary and secondary drying processes.
