Abstract
Āsava and Ariṣṭas have an esteem position among all the other dosage forms
of Āyurveda due to their unique qualities like quick and better absorption,
therapeutic action, longer shelf life and palatability. During the preparation of
Āsavas, alcohol is self-generated and believed to extract wider range of active
principles. KHARJŪRĀSAVA’, is one such formulation consisting of Kharjūra
as a main ingredient. Current study addresses the evaluation of macro and
micro nutrients and also the antioxidant property of Kharjūrāsava.
