Abstract
This article is the text of the first radio talk in the series 'Manufacturing Foods', broadcast
from the All India Radio, Mysore, on 10th May 1954. It has been reproduced here as a sequel to
requests received from various parties interested in the subject. The author has reviewed the
relations between the producers, preservers, processors and distributors of various food products
and enumerated the several contributions made in different directions by the Central Food
Technological Research Institute, Mysore.
