Abstract
The physico-chemical characteristics of food-grade tinplate, including the tin coating, wt., grain size structure of tin coating and porosity, of OTS cans imported into India from Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea were analysed and compared with domestic samples. Thickness of the tinplate (0.25 mm) did not vary much from the different countries.
