Abstract

Various aspects of the cashew nuts processing industry are reviewed, viz. raw material; production; imports; traditional processing methods and recent developments; quality control; chemical, biological and nutritional qualities; by-products utilization; and future of the industry in India. Tables and photographs are provided to illustrate the discussion of the technical and economic aspects of the industry.
