Abstract

The chloroform, methanol and ethyl acetate extracts of leaf, root and pod of Mimosa pudica showed interesting antimicrobial activities. The chloroform extracts showed good antibacterial activity against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, while ethyl acetate extracts of leaf showed moderate antifungal activity.
