Abstract
This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.
Item Type: | Student Project Report |

Additional Information: | Experiments were carried out for the production of chitosanase by submerged fermentation using different fungal and actinomycetes cultures using commercial wheat bran and shrimp processing by-products as substrates. The crude chitosanase produced by Micromonospora sp. CA1 and Micromonospora sp. CA2 were characterized for their optimum temperature and pH. The chitosanase produced by Micromonospora sp. CA1 and Micromonospora sp. CA2 were concentrated by using PEG and used for chitosan hydrolysis. The results of the experiments showed that the crude chitosanases hydrolysed colloidal chitosan effectively and produced chitosan oligosaccharides. |
Uncontrolled Keywords: | fungal; actinomycetes culture; wheat bran; shrimp processing by-products; Chitosanases |
