Additional Information: | In this present study an attempt has been made to extract the oil from lipase acted rice bran and to refine that oil. FFA value and colour are very high in crude oils. After the refining process the FFA value and colour of the refined oil is reduced when compared with the crude oil. The amount of triglyceride present is very low in that refined oil when compared with the refined oil from low FFA value crude oil. There is an increase in unsaponifiable matter in the refined oil, when compared with the crude oil. This oil cannot be used for edible purposes and is useful to improve health as it has more unsaponifiable matter. |
