Abstract

Monitoring carbon dioxide (C02 ) levels in controlled atmosphere (CA) storage of foodgrains gives a clear picture on the efficacy of the process, so that necessary manipulation like addition of further quantity of CO2 or extension of the exposure period could be effected. A quick, efficient and novel method of estimating intergranular CO2 described in this paper compares favourably with other sophisticated methods.
