Abstract

In a previous study [FSTA (1988) 20 1M11], 2 glutenin fractions were isolated from K65 wheat by successive gel filtration on Sephadex G-200 in acetic acid-guanidine hydrochloride-cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and SDS. This study determined the S20,w values of these fractions and used chromatography on Sepharose CL-4B (which has a higher fractionation range than G-200) to investigate the mol. wt. distribution of covalently bonded glutenin.
