Abstract

Monoethanolamine hydrolysis of ethylene di. bromide in gaseous phase has been studied at different temperatures (21_38°C.). Ethylene di. bromide undergoes complete hydrolysis within 3,2, 1 and 0.5 hr at 21.1°, 25.0°, 31·0° and 37·8°C respectively. The method is useful for the assay of ethylene dibromide from fumigation chambers.
