Additional Information: | Yeast diversity was assessed in Idly,Coffee pulp and Jack Fruit. The yeast population increased from 156 x 103 to 13.66 x 107 in idly over a period of 12 days. During the same period 37.66 x 107 was the maximum recorded yeast population in Jack fruit and 34 x 107 in coffee pulp. The yeast colonies which were morphologically different were isolated, purified and sub cultured for further work on identification. A total of 18 cultures were isolated and preserved from the samples collected. |
