Abstract

A technique for selecting suitably tough rice var. for reduced milling damage, is described. During this investigation grain moisture of several var. was determined and the results are as follows: (harvested 22 Dec. 1978) FT19 gave 15.5%, FT 35 gave 15.9%, Vani gave 16.0%; (harvested 5 July 1979) FT 19 gave 21.3%, Vani gave 21.18%.
