Abstract

The volatile oil yield and the mucilage content of 5 types of cinnamon (Sri Lanka, China, Indian and wild types, and cinnamaldehyde soaked barks) available on the Indian market are given. TLC and GLC data on these volatile oils are given; these could be used for distinguishing the 5 types of oils and for producing standards.
