Abstract

The surfaces of approximate equal to0.2% of eggs offered for sale in 6 markets in Mysore City were found positive for Salmonella infection. Salm. chester and Salm. choleraesuis were isolated from shell surfaces but not from the contents. Human health aspects of these isolates are discussed.
