Abstract

Experiments were carried out to determine whether the high neurotoxicity of gamma-HCH [lindane] to Bombyx mori was influenced by any of the other HCH isomers. The results showed that delta-HCH delayed the onset of neurotoxic symptoms and reduced the degree of excitatory symptoms induced by lindane, suggesting a neurodepressant nature of the compound. Other HCH isomers did not alter the neurotoxic action of lindane.
