Abstract

The addition of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl phenol as an antioxidant in a 1:1 ratio to (7Z,11E)-7,11-hexadecadienyl acetate prolonged the attractiveness of this compound as a sex pheromone for adults of the stored products pest Sitotroga cerealella beyond 31-40 min.
