Abstract

In tests of acrylonitrile as a fumigant for the adults of 5 species of stored-product insects, the LD50's and (in brackets) LD95's (in mg/litre) were 0.4345 (0.5636) for Callosobruchus chinensis (L.), 0.4036 (0.7816) for Sitophilus oryzae (L.), 0.6918 (1.0841) for Rhyzopertha dominica (F.), 0.7551 (1.2682) for Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L.) and 1.0541 (1.3211) for Tribolium castaneum (Hbst.).
