Abstract

In several trials on arabica coffee the control of Phyllophaga nilgiria (Holotrichia nilgiria) provided by granular, liquid and dust formulations of a number of insecticides was extended when lime was used as a soil amendment. Cockchafer incidence was reduced at 11 sites where lime alone at 0.75-2.0 ton/acre was applied to correct soil acidity.
