Abstract

The addition of urea, ammophos and muriate of potash or of zinc sulphate and/or magnesium sulphate to neutral bordeaux mixture 0.5% enhanced the fungicidal effect so that the incidence of coffee leaf rust was little more than half that observed after treatment with bordeaux alone. If, however, the bordeaux with added nutrients was re-neutralized before use it gave less rust control than the original bordeaux alone. The addition of Folidol [parathion] to bordeaux had no such synergistic effect.
