This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.

Item Type: Student Project Report
Additional Information: The biosynthetic pathway of theobromine and caffeine has been the subject of much study over the years. Caffeine is synthesized through three sequential steps catalyzed by N- Methyltransferases (NMT). The studies on NMT gene structure and organization particularly on introns and exons may shed light on the functional divergence of the gene and its differential expression in different species of Coffee.
Uncontrolled Keywords: coffee theobromine caffeine biosynthesis NMT gene amplicons
