Additional Information: The primary objective of this investigation was to familiarize with methodology used in lipid science and to analyze the lipid profile and fatty acid composition of oils used in our diet. The properties of edible oils and fats are mainly dependent on the composition their lipid profile. In this contest approach was to estimate the concentration of lipids and fats through septrophotometric estimation and also by using gas chromatography.
