Additional Information: Solid-State Fermentation (SSF) has been considered as a useful tool for biomass energy conservation, solid waste treatment and production of value-added products such as enzymes, organic acids and biologically active secondary metabolites. In the past few years, new biotechnological innovations have explored solid state fermentation as a promising low cost technology. Solid state fermentation was carried out using coffee pulp, cherry husk, spent waste, silver skin, as substrate for production of various enzymes like xylanase, protease, pectinase, invertase and phytase by Neurospora sp. The parameters were optimized for enzyme synthesis such as moisture level, temperature and pH. Among the varieties of coffee wastes, coffee pulp produced maximum yield with enzymes like pectinase, protease and phytase with an activity of 5747 U/gds, 2940 U/gds and 7726 U/gds respectively. Coffee pulp has got good potential for production of various enzymes using Neurospora sp.
