Additional Information:	The scope of the dissertation was to prepare new thiophosphate derivatives of vanillin. The compounds were separated by thin layer chromatography using a method that was specific to P=S compounds. The product was purified by column chromatography. The structure of the compounds was characterized using 1H and 13C NMR. The compounds were subjected to an insect bioassay to asses their toxicity and insecticidal property.
