Additional Information: | This project is carried out to avoid the labor force needed and also to reduce time. By considering the problem facing in BCE hostel, this particular project is carried out to reduce time of preparing ‘chapati’ and for extrusion of ‘Muruku’ which in turn reduce man-hour and to reduce cost of production. There are many automatic chapati-making machines already available in market. But for our present study we consider particularly the manual operating chapati-making machine with an extruder by which we can also prepare Muruku. This equipment doesn’t require any electric power to carry out the process. More than one chapatti can be prepared in this particular machine. Many traditional foods such as rotis, chapati, papads occupy major position in Indian diet including many Asian countries, wheat, jowar, ragi are used to make traditional foods. It is prepared manually at homes and the method is not only cumbersome but also unhygienic with the growth in industrialization and urbanization there is a lot of demand for Easy To Carry (ETC) foods like the ones mentioned, which can reduce drudgery of women. The machine is portable and it can be used as a manually operated thus there is no requirement of power. This machine is used as a multipurpose machine. It can perform functions like chapati presser, extruder for making muruku. and vegetable cutter. This can be achieved by changing the blades this machine can be used as a lemon squeezer, lemon cutter and chopper. The attachment in the machinery like vegetable cutter has an elegant body and a simple way to change blades. This machine is easy to use as only blades are to be placed at the base of an extruder for chopping purpose. The attachment vegetable cutter can cut the vegetable and fruits like potatoes, tomatoes, onions, apples, bananas etc with various size and shape as per the die. |
