Additional Information: <p align="justify">The information pertaining to the extraction and characterization of crude acetic and ferulic acid esterases was restricted to barley malt and microbial sources. However no information is available with respect to ragi malt. Thus a systematic study is already under progress with respect to their isolation, purification and characterization from ragimalt. The present study determines the assay of acetic and ferulic acid esterases, from the coleoptiles of ragi and wheat, pH/temperature optima and stabilities of acetic and ferulic acid esterases from ragi and wheat coleoptiles and the kinetic parameters such as Km and Vmax of the ragi acetic acid esterase isolated from ragi coleoptiles.</p>
