Additional Information: |
The successful operation of any machine depends largely on the kinematics of the machines. The motion is largely rectilinear which includes unidirectional and reciprocating motions. Curvilinear motion includes rotary, oscillatory and the simple harmonic. The machine has to accommodate the variations in the product type. The machine is novel in its operation as it peels the skin of the fruit such as banana and its varieties and separates the skin from pulp and is discharged separately. The peeling machine for fruit like banana is not available in the market, which is one of the novel features of this invention. There are several varieties of bananas in the market and the fragility of the fruit makes it very difficult to be handled by a mechanical device. The variation of the fruit involves the maturity level of the fruit, the variation in the geometry, and variation in the thickness of the skin and so on. An attempt has been made to design a machine considering all the above variations in the fruit. It is essential that the material used in the design of food processing machine need to have the characteristics of materials such as strength, resistance to wear, weld ability and other related heat treatment properties. Keeping above requirements and the material, stainless steel having low carbon content has been selected. Care has been taken for the safe operation of the unit, both in electricity as well as from the moving parts.
|
