Abstract
This Dissertation / Report is the outcome of investigation carried out by the creator(s) / author(s) at the department/division of Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore mentioned below in this page.
Item Type: | Student Project Report |

Additional Information: | The aim of the work was to quantify the levels of macular pigments, other xanthophylls and hydrocarbon carotenoids. As AMD is more prevalent in India, planned (i) to screen the carotenoid composition of commonly used GLVs, (ii) to estimate their bioavailability and properties in vitro and (iii) to study the influence of dietary factor, vegetable oil (as a source of specific fatty acid) on lutein bioavailability in vitro using reverse sac method. |
